## What they believe
Faith is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and describes itself as a family of faith grown from a mission outreach in the Fergus area. It strives to be a welcoming community of God's people gathered in worship and service, friendly and open to care, to teach, to welcome all seekers and to serve those in need, and it says there is a place for both life-long Lutherans and people who have never set foot in a church.

## What to expect
The service is a mix of traditional and modern worship styles, designed so everyone can fully participate, in what the church calls a small and friendly group of people. Coffee, treats and fellowship follow the service; children are welcomed in worship with dedicated activities and there is a Sunday school program.

## About this congregation
Faith Lutheran Church, Fergus-Elora was established about forty years ago, when local Lutherans identified a need for ministry in the south end of Fergus. Its building on Belsyde Avenue East, beside a public school and a seniors' residence, is used by a range of community groups. The pastor is Rev. Gloria Ryder.

The congregation belongs to the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. It lives out what it calls its love of neighbour by taking part in the development of the local food bank, Habitat for Humanity projects and Messy Church for children and families, and it maintains a community garden. Worship is in English.
